Hello! I'm Vusumuzi, a data scientist currently completing a PGDip in Data Science (STADIO, NQF 8), with a PGDip in TVET from the University of the Western Cape and an ALX Data Science certificate. I spent 9+ years as a mathematics lecturer, which gave me something most data professionals don't have: the ability to break down complex quantitative findings and communicate them clearly to any audience.
I build machine learning models, write SQL queries, create dashboards, and translate data into stories that drive decisions. My flagship project is an end-to-end credit-risk pipeline on 2.26M real loans.

End-to-end credit risk pipeline on 2.26M real Lending Club loans (2007–2018). SQL schema design, 151→33 feature cleaning, full EDA, Gradient Boosting model (AUC 0.72), and ~$95M/year in quantified preventable losses. Includes an interactive Streamlit app for live predictions.
